  • I'm bringing Xanga back - drop a comment if you're with me! It has been a long time, I only took this long to see if you missed me. One question today: If you had one desire that would be granted you in this life what would it be? For the rest of your life, would it be the one person, the dream job, the lifestyle what sir or ma'am would you desire to see in your life?

Think about it and drop in an answer

  • I know, I know

Yes it has been forever but in all this waiting you are now anticipating what I am writing on the page so hopefully it will be worth it.  Much going on we have a basketball team that I am coaching we just started our season a couple of weeks ago and we are 2-0 so far so good but there is much to work on, and we are also getting ready for the adult church league to begin which should be fun.  As for the family we are tiling our bedroom area with 16x16 ceramic tiles it is looking really good my brother Josh came in from Florida to help with some of the work.  I can honestly say that over the past couple of years there has been some healing take place in our relationship.  The church we were at before really did us dirty and said alot of things that weren't true and if you are in ministry some times that happens and when you are hurt like that the anger you feel can sometimes spread to the ones closest to you.  In my case that is what happened, I don't know all the details and to be honest with you I don't want to know all I know is that the relationship that was once strong with me and my brother Josh was damaged and now a healing is beginning.  But I had to make the choice to let that healing take place, I could have carried that around and been bitter or I could make it right by having a right attitude.  It is so hard to put that bitterness, frustration and hurt behind you especially when you feel that it is brought on by someone close to you, sad thing is that it wasn't just one person but I had pointed my finger as though it was.  But in all honest I had to grow up and that is exactly what GOD spoke to me that I needed to grow up and realize there will be hurts in ministry sometimes some greater than others but it will never take away his grace and mercy in my life and it will never take away what he has called me to be in my life.  I needed a change in my life and I got one, I need to learn to listen when God says go no matter how comfortable I may be if God says it I want to do it.  It is so easy to be in our comfort zone and think that we are hearing God but maybe sometimes we are just hearing what we want to hear.  As for me I needed to listen and I know, I know my wife will tell you I am not the best listener but God spoke something to me and I finally got it "as you have been forgiven, so you must also forgive" see in order for healing to take place forgiveness must be there, I want healing in my life, I want forgiveness to be there and where those two are a miracle can happen.  I want to see a miracle, how bout you?

    Alright,

So we here at the Adams' household are getting ready for the holidays. Much running around and getting last minute gifts although we are the type that buys gifts during the summer months and right after Christmas holidays, so needless to say it isn't too bad when it comes to last minute things.

Tonight in Element it was awesome, seems like a few of my students were on Christmas break already (if you are reading this we missed you) but we talked about who is sitting on the throne of your heart. Sometimes we put ourselves on that throne by doing all the things we want without even seeking the heart of God and sometimes it takes a while for us to snap out of that state.

I mean in my eyes this is the perfect time for us to snap out of our selfish attitude, what better season than Christmas when God sent his perfect gift Jesus to save us. What if God would have been selfish and said I don't want to send my only son but he didn't and this time of year as you gather with family and friends don't forget the real meaning of why we celebrate. It is all about Jesus!

So what do you want for Christmas this year?

    Keep it right,ight
